eCommerce Development Phase

eCommerce Application Code – Actual code is the primary deliverable of the eCommerce Development Phase. All project information and inputs are combined to produce a high-quality application. During the course of coding, Jagged Peak may recommend/request initial review points and in-line quality assurance execution, as well as code reviews and technical reviews. It is important to note that although code complete is a major milestone deliverable, it is not released at this point, nor is the application complete until the Delivery Phase has been executed.

eCommerce Status Report – The eCommerce Status Report is the project management document that informs the client of the development progress. It contains functionality complete, functionality to be developed next, high-level management issues (to be addressed by the client), project detail issues, as well as project timeliness and cost to date.

eCommerce Updated Projected Schedule – This is the eCommerce Project Schedule control artifact, which is updated during the Development Phase to show progress. A schedule baseline is kept to track whether the project is on schedule or not.

eCommerce Change Control Document – The eCommerce Control Document can be used to alter what should be developed in the current development cycle. It should be used sparingly as it is relatively expensive at this stage of the development cycle to make changes. A Change Order will contain the new functional requirements, what requirements changed and the new functionality, with related timeline changes and cost changes. Note the specification document does not get altered from the Planning Phase. It can only be amended with a Change Order.
