With EDGE as your inventory hub, you control a virtual warehouse that contains all your stock, regardless of location. Whether you manage your own facilities, use Jagged Peak’s, or use a combination of both, you’ll be able to see stock in every location and view every SKU event in each facility, whether you license EDGE or Jagged Peak hosts it for you.

Jagged Peak’s state-of-the-art, 100,000 sq. ft. facility is located in a Free Enterprise Zone near Tampa’s International airport. It’s fully air-conditioned and racked to support high-velocity small pack and large-order retail fulfillment. It is also highly secure, featuring advanced, web-based camera systems, and it is registered with the FDA as a food center.

SKU configurations

EDGE can act as either your enterprise SKU master or simply as a repository of SKU information. It supports build-to-stock (BTS), build-to-order (BTO), standard SKUs, and digital print-on-demand (DPOD) SKU types.

SKU revision control

If your products require piece or batch-level control, rest assured. EDGE supports an unlimited number of SKU revision levels, so you can identify stock down to each specific version, whether you use supplier, material, color, or any other factor to differentiate product versions. EDGE automatically updates all related products and kit definitions with new revision information. It also notifies each facility that the change has occurred. 

Serial number and batch tracking

When auditable tracking of items with serial numbers and batched products is important, you can count on EDGE.  Detailed reports that list shipping details for specific serial numbers or that identify where product or material lots shipped are readily available, should you ever need them for recalls or other tracking purposes.  

Expiration dating

EDGE prevents expired items from shipping, so no one can pick, pack, or ship orders with out-of-date product. It will send e-mail exception notices when items expire and let you know if customer orders are on hold because your shelf stock is out of date. If you like, EDGE can also automatically keep track of an item’s expiration date and take it off the price list and out of any customer catalogs on a date you specify.

Advanced shipping notice (ASN)

ASN can be initiated for any facility in your supply chain. EDGE can receive ASN details directly from suppliers via EDI or XML, web services, or other communication vehicles, forwarding them to the appropriate facility.

Incoming inspection

EDGE contains incoming inspection processes to help you control the quality of goods as they arrive. When your inventory is stored in a Jagged Peak facility, our team members will inspect incoming materials, looking for damage and verifying counts.  We’ll notify you of exceptions and disposition material according to your instructions.

Bulk order breakdown

In Jagged Peak warehouses, our inventory specialists will break bulk receipts and package to your SKU requirements. Whether you need us to follow retail routing guide instructions for retail packout or kit material for customer orders, we’re here to do it for you.   

Cycle counts

With EDGE, you can conduct cycle counts according to your time schedule—daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, or anything in between. When we stock your inventory in our facilities, we’ll conduct cycle counts and physical inventories on the schedule you request.

Budget control

Set budget or order limit controls at the product, member, group, or department level to control material outflows. EDGE can also be set with workflow rules to control your exception handling process.
