MIS Manager

Jagged Peak is a fast-paced highly entrepreneurial and rapidly growing e-commerce and supply chain software/order fulfillment company. We have a rather impressive domestic and international client base.

The MIS Department is an internal department responsible for maintaining and administrating all databases and applications that the business depends on for day-to-day operations. MIS is responsible for billing, analytics and reporting.

We are currently seeking an MIS Manager with large and multiple database and ERP experience. The MIS Manager is responsible for the department’s personnel, budgets, performance and practices.

In this position you will:

• Have hands on technical knowledge of all data bases, applications and related systems.
• Actively participate in the process of setting the department’s objectives and establish measurable milestones for all team members
• Establish in conjunction with management – department goals, budgets, long-term strategic plans and measurements.
• Mentor to all team members, and identify leaders and encourage upward mobility.
• Maintain regular contact with various positions throughout the Company and external clients. Contact is maintained with the functional/user areas in determining and meeting user needs. Outside the organization, contact is usually with clients, consultants and approved vendors.
• Provide weekly and monthly reports against set metrics and objectives.
• Report to CFO and coordinate all information systems reporting, security, and administration activities.
• Maintain all information system applications.

Key characteristics of an outstanding candidate include the ability to quickly comprehend the purpose of reporting requirements and collect and analyze data. Attention to detail with a constant watchful eye on the broad scope and goals of the project is a must.

This position is based in our corporate office in the Rocky Point area of Tampa. This is a very team-driven “all hands on deck” environment so yes; we want your smiling face and winning personality in the office, sorry no telecommuters.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 5 yrs experience in a related position and supervising others.
• Bachelors Degree in computer science/ MIS from an accredited college or university.
• Expected to have hands on technical knowledge of all data bases, applications and related systems.
• Strong knowledge and comprehension of technology and data management used in the process of collecting, retrieving, analyzing and storing data.
• Strong comprehension of the various operating departments of the business organization coupled with a good working knowledge of the interpretation of operational and financial reports.
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing and growth oriented environment with regularly changing priorities and developing opportunities.
• Ability to interface with multiple level internal and external users and effectively project manage reporting requirements from start to completion of projects.
• Ability to define user requirements and retrieve and interpret accurate information/data for reporting.
• Strong communication skills and a customer service mentality.
• Ability to manage own workflow and workflow of others to meet deadlines while responding to frequent demands of multiple internal and external customers.

Technical requirements:

• Various analytics and reporting tools including MS SQL reporting services
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL and other databases
• Understanding of Data Warehouse structure and usage is a must.
• Ability to maintain a reporting infrastructure and performance reporting process within a fast-paced technology-driven environment.

Preferred experience:

• Experience with Supply-Chain Software Industry
